I would be remiss if I did not write to tell you how wonderful my stay was at Hotel Pennsylvania. I checked in on Tuesday, November 23. I made my reservations through Priceline and requested two beds as I was traveling with my daughter. However, my confirmation was not specific so when I arrived, I asked the young man who checked us in to confirm. He was very helpful and honored the request. I was extremely pleased when I saw the room. I am so happy that your employee helped us and was the most courteous, professional, and helpful assistant I've had the pleasure of meeting (I travel often for business and am a seasoned traveler). In addition, when I checked out, I left my coat in the room and hours later went back and your helpful and courteous housekeeping staff had it safely packaged and waiting for me. This was a very special trip for my family. We were in NY to see my youngest son play basketball at Madison Square Gardens. We were also meeting my father's family for the first time (he died 35 years ago). Words cannot express my thanks for making this a great experience for us. Dear Sir/Madam: My husband and I recently enjoyed a week at the Hotel Pennsylvania (Aug.2-8), and as an owner of a small tourist operation here in Canada, I know how important it is to receive positive feedback about performance. We found the staff to be very courteous, despite the large numbers of people they had to accommodate at that time, the room clean and comfortable, and despite the Hotels location, surprisingly quiet! I have never posted public reviews before, but I wish to tell you that we were so pleased about our stay that I wrote a very favourable review of the Hotel Pennsylvania on Expedia.ca. We are considering taking our 13 year old daughter to enjoy New York in March. We will certainly try to make a reservation at the Hotel Pennsylvania for that time. To Whoever oversees the Front Door Staff at New York's Hotel Pennsylvania, My husband and I had the great experience of being assisted by Bobby the doorman last week on Thursday July 15th, 2010. He is a credit to your Customer Service staff! He not only did his job for numerous people simultaneously, but he kept an informative ongoing conversation happening with me about the city, what it might be like for us if we move there (my husband was in a job interview) and testifying to how people are friendly and how he LOVES his work. It was obvious that he loves his work! Then, along came "Copa," who you will see in the pictures, and a delightful exchange took place. Bobby yelled "Hey - Copa, come meet my friend!" Copa came over and offered that I hold his dog (I am a dog lover) and my husband snapped a picture. THEN, as if not wanting to miss a potential happening......5 or 6 people gathered to take pictures as well....of Bobby the New York Doorman, Susan the nervous potetential transplant to New York, and "copa." Because I love people, the quirkier the better, it was a great moment in our trip - owed all to Bobby the wonderful doorman at the Pennsylvanian. Please pass along our sincere appreciation to Bobby for his encouraging words, his professionalism and his joy of life in creating a New York moment for us that will always be in our memories from those few days. I just learned that my son and his girl are guests at your hotel. Unknown to them when they booked the trip, yours is the hotel where my parents spent their honeymoon in 1943. What an unexpected collision of history. As a result, Daddy has brought out his stories about fun times spent at your hotel during the war when he was on leave and dating his future wife. I am sure you hear this sort of thing all the time but I think it is wonderful that y'all are still there and helping people create wonderful memories generation after generation. Thank you.

My room attendant and front desk staff were all wonderful. They are just great and so helpful. Great people, great service! This is my second stay at HP. I love it! Best value for price! On Sunday, March 20, 2011, my wife and I went to MSG for an Elton John concert, a gift from our children. We had STUBHUB tickets my son-in-law purchased, so they were in his name. Imagine how horrified I was to discover, at the gate, that I only had printed one ticket. The employees at MSG were of no help at all. In fact, they chastised me for not having bought the tickets through them. I called STUBHUB, and after several suggestions the kind woman suggested that I go to the nearest hotel and ask if the tickets could be emailed to the manager. I'm sorry, but I don't know the name of the manager on duty that night at your hotel; but please thank whoever it was for allowing STUBHUB to send the new tickets via email, and then print them out for Joanne and I. I'm happy to say that we missed only one song of the concert; and again thank you for saving what started out to be a disastrous and very costly evening. My wife and I are now walking billboards for the Hotel Pennsylvania. Thank you again.

I checked into the Hotel on 4th April 2011. As soon as I checked in my father took seriously ill and spent the rest of our holiday in hospital, plus an extra 5 weeks there when myself and mother had to return back to England. I would appreciate it if a big thank you could be passed on to the manager of the hotel as he was very helpful and considerate during the traumatic time we had. I am writing to commend one of your employees, Andrew, aka the Bell Captain, for his excellent service. My family visited NYC over the Memorial Day Weekend. We travelled via bus, not wanting to deal with parking and driving in the city. We were scheduled to depart Sunday afternoon, meeting the bus across the street from the Hotel Pennsylvania. When we arrived at the meeting point, I realized that I had inadvertently left our bus ticket confirmations behind at the apartment where we were staying. Having limited time, there was no way we would be able to return to the apartment, nor could we contact the host. We were stuck, possibly having to stay another night in NYC and missing my eldest son's birthday, as this was the only bus scheduled to travel to our hometown, Richmond, VA that day. I entered your hotel and asked Andrew if he could point me in the right direction, to where I might be able to access my email account and print the ticket confirmations, hoping there might be a library or other facility nearby. Even though Andrew was preparing to leave for the day, he agreed to help me. He helped me access my email account and printed the tickets for us. He "saved the day" for us. It has been 12 years since my last visit to NYC. One thing I noticed this time is how very helpful and kind NYC natives were to us tourists, from directing us on the subway, helping to coordinate tours, or giving us "insider tips" about what to see in the city. But, Andrew's kindness tops our list! I offered to tip him for his service; however, he declined. It is my hope that he be commended/honored somehow for his excellent service.

I stayed in your hotel and was very happy with it. The room was clean and quiet The room was nice. The rates were reasonable as compared to other nearby hotels and the location was conveniently located. I would stay again if I returned to the New York. The hotel exceeded my expectations. It was convenient to shopping mall & subway station. The front desk staff was exceptionally courteous, particularly Ms. Shela, and she was helpful at all times.
