What's New

Times Square

Mar 12th 2014

The busiest, brightest and most breathtaking place in the city!

As the most iconic spot in NYC, it’s a tourist attraction you won’t want to and can’t miss. It’s also filled to the brim with dining, entertainment, and of course shopping. Stopping to take in everything in the square is truly an experience unlike any other. On any given day, you never know what you might see, there could be an impromptu event or performers or even the filming of a new blockbuster movie!

Times Square is also the home to some of the city’s best Broadway shows and venues. In fact, by 1928 there were 76 theaters in Times Square and it remains to this day the busiest theater district in the world.

Known ‘as the crossroads of the world’, it’s also the most visited tourist attraction on earth. On New Year’s Eve alone, an estimated one million people celebrate in the streets of Times Square to watch the annual Ball Drop.

The New Year’s Eve Ball Drop began in 1907 and has grown to be one of the biggest events in the country. Today the event is televised around the world and invites the biggest names in music to perform free live concerts before the official countdown to the New Year.

Of course the first thing you notice when visiting the area will be the bright lights. There’s a reason it’s been nicknamed the “The Great White Way”. Every building is covered in billboard advertisements containing thousands of LED lights that light up the night sky. It’s truly the mecca of advertising for big brand names. Then again, even individuals can have their say and flash marriage proposals or birthday wishes on the iconic big screens for all to see.

Don’t miss out on one of the most famous attractions the city has to offer!
