For the next couple of weeks we don’t just love NYC, we ‘15-love' it!
Tennis’ biggest stars are in New York to battle it out for the title in the final Grand Slam Tournament of the season, the U.S. Open! It’s a spectacular event and puts the best against the best for that last shot at getting the number one ranking for the season.
This year the event, which is known to draw an impressive crowd, will welcome First Lady, Michelle Obama. The First Lady will take the stage opening day of the tournament to encourage youngsters and their families to get active. Serena Williams, who is currently ranked No. 1 in the world and the reigning champion, is expected to introduce the First Lady. She will make her appearance at the 18th Annual Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day (August 24th) to kick off the U.S. Open.
Starting on August 26th, famous personalities will make their way to the event to cheer on their favorites. The grueling two-week competition runs from August 26th through September 9th, 2013. Meanwhile off the court, the sports’ best competitors will make time for press conferences where you can find out what they are really thinking as they compete.
Don’t miss out on your chance to see world-class tennis in the city that never sleeps! And be sure to keep an eye out for the Hollywood elite that flocks to the city for the event while you are out and about!
