Now for your feature presentation!
HBO’s Bryant Park Film Festival provides the ultimate classic New York summer experience and best of all, it’s free! This must-see activity brings weekly screenings to the lawn of Bryant Park every Monday throughout summer and is open to all ages.
Known as one of the summer’s most popular events, you may have even seen the film festival in other Hollywood hits such as the romantic comedy, The Wedding Planner, where Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey’s characters take in a flick and bond over M&M’s.
The film festival is now in its 21st year and features all types of films. From classic dramas to kid-friendly films, it offers something for everyone. The lawn opens up at 5pm and the movies start at sundown, so be sure to show up early if you want a good spot, it does fill up quickly!
Here are the remaining screenings for this summer:
July 22: The African Queen
July 29: A Foreign Affair
August 5: Norma Rae
August 12: The Women
August 19: E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial
